Have you ever dreamed of owning your own business? Join the Sacramento SBA District Office and the NorCal Veterans Business Outreach Centers (VBOC) for our online Boots to Business/Reboot class. The Zoom link and password will be emailed to registered participants the day before the class. There is no charge for this event.
This class is open to all Veteran students, Veterans of all eras, members of the Guard and Reserve, and military-connected family members who are interested in starting or growing a small business. Any interested community members are invited to join the Veterans for this exploration of entrepreneurship.
This weekly class is offered online on Tuesdays from from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Pacific Time. The modules can be taken in any order. All 8 modules are required to receive a certificate of completion.
Module 3: Understanding Markets & Your Competitive Space
Objective: Understand how to conduct market research, the importance of market research, and the basics of competitive strategy/analysis. Understand ways to conduct low-cost customer validation and market research. Understand how to evaluate an industry.
Module 4: The Economics of Small Business Start-Up
Objective: Understand the foundation for the cost, price, volume relationship, as it informs profit potential and sustainability for the planned venture.
Modules 5 & 6: Legal Considerations for Veteran-Owned Businesses and Introduction to Business Planning take place on September 24, 2024
Modules 7 & 8: Financing Your Venture and Resources to Support Your Efforts take place on October 1, 2024

About the Presenter
Growing up as the son of a career Army Veteran Antonio was afforded the unique opportunity to travel all over the United States and experience life of the military through a different lens. He is a business and leadership consultant with a focus on empowering veteran entrepreneurs. Residing in Fresno, California, he is currently enhancing my expertise through a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management at Fresno Pacific University. His background in operational leadership and project management is geared toward helping veterans translate their military experience into successful civilian business ventures.
In his role as Department Manager, he successfully implemented strategies that boost customer satisfaction and drive sales, demonstrating my ability to innovate and lead in dynamic settings. His experiences as a Safety & Compliance Officer and Facilities Manager have sharpened my skills in regulatory compliance and operational safety, which are crucial for effective business consulting.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Antonio is deeply involved in community service as an Eagle Scout and Assistant Scout Master, where he leads community projects and mentors youth. This role has reinforced his leadership qualities and his commitment to service.
With a combination of business acumen, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of veteran affairs both during and after their life in the military, Antonio is uniquely positioned to consult and support veteran entrepreneurs.
